SCHOLASTIC SPRING BOOK FAIR
It’s almost time!
Watch for Book Fair fliers and the Breakfast with Someone you Love invitations-
coming soon!!!
(Scholastic Book Fair will be open March 23-27, 2015)
We celebrated Dr. Seuss’ birthday in a BIG way! We had a full day of Kindergarten and first graders who came to listen to Dr. Seuss books, sort and graph objects along with the story One Fish, Two Fish, write original pieces in a “Seussical” way, and learn about the life of Dr. Seuss (aka Theodor Seuss Gisel). We have had nothing but positive feedback from faculty, parents and students about our amazing Celebration day! Please feel free to visit us any time in the library- you never know who you might bump into!
IT’S BOOK FAIR TIME! Please join us for our Barnes & Noble Holiday Book Fair at the Paddock shops in Louisville on Sunday, December 7th. Come and be jolly~we have special guest readers, a performance from our own Camden Chorus, treats for kids and more! Shop any time on Sunday, December 7th and Monday, December 8th to support our school. Just tell the cashier you are supporting Camden Station when making your purchases. A percentage of the total sales generated over the 2 days will be returned to our students in the form of new books for the library! So come cross off some of those gift items on your list- shop for books, toys, DVDs and more! We will see you there!
WE READ. WHAT’S YOUR SUPER POWER?
Look who stopped in to read to our students! It’s our special Miss Mimi dressed up as Winnie the Pooh. We are so grateful for our loving volunteers who brighten our lives every day!
COMING SOON………BOOK FAIR!!!
Shannon Gambill, author of Boss Paws and the Mystery of Bat Cat, visited Camden Station the very first week of school! She brought along Boss Paws (the real-life dog and inspiration for the character in her book) to speak to students about how to become an author, illustrator, or graphic artist. Students who attended had worked hard all summer by reading, writing, or practicing math. What an exciting event for some of our hard-working students!
